I'm Xave — the person behind @xave_main on TikTok and every word on this site. Xave Picks started because friends kept asking me the same question: "is that thing on TikTok actually any good?" After the fifth or sixth DM, I figured I should just write it down.
I cover trending products across the categories I personally use: consumer tech, home and kitchen, beauty, fitness, pets, fashion, and the strange viral things that show up on my For You Page each month. Everything published here is a product I've bought with my own money or been sent as a sample I disclosed.
Our Review Ethics & Methodology
In an era of AI-generated content and "top 10" lists written by people who have never touched the product, Xave Picks commits to the following:
- Hands-on Testing: I use every product for at least one full week before writing a review.
- No Paid Placement: Brands cannot pay for a higher rating or a guaranteed positive review.
- Original Photography: Most photos on this site (and all video on TikTok) are taken by me during testing.
- Balanced Perspective: Every review includes "What works" and "What to know" (the negatives).
How this site makes money
Xave Picks is independent. I'm a TikTok Shop affiliate and an Amazon Associate, which means I may earn a small commission when you buy something through a link on this site, at no cost to you. That commission keeps the lights on and pays for the products I test. It does not — and never will — buy a five-star review. I've written negative reviews of products I earn a commission on. That's the whole point of doing this honestly.
You can read the full affiliate disclosure any time. If you ever spot a review that reads like an advertisement, email me and I'll fix it or take it down.
